The Skegness Carnival will be holding a Christmas Market on 10th and 11th December 2011. This is a separate venture from the late night Christmas shopping, and after the last nine year’s success, by popular demand this event is to be repeated.

The market will open to the public at 10am and close at 4pm on Saturday and 11am and close at 3pm on Sunday. This event will take place in front of The Hildred’s Centre with their full backing, and will extend to the pavement on Lumley Road. This event could not go ahead without the generous permission of Mr G. Hawkins who owns the land.

As space is at a premium, we only have 20 market stalls available. These will be booked on a first come first served basis.

The market will be based on a craft / produce, items for sale theme. Tombola stalls and games of chance will not be accepted, as this is a Christmas craft market.

The fee for the weekend is £25 for registered charity stalls. Craft stalls will be £30 for the weekend. Trade stalls will be charged £40 for the weekend. If you have booked for the weekend, can you please turn up, as we have advertised the event as a weekend event?

The street organ will be invited to add to the atmosphere. We would like all stall- holders to get into the festive spirit by dressing in Victorian costume. Please try and dress up and make your stalls look as festive as you can.

There will be a trophy and a bottle of ‘bubbly’ for the best-dressed stall. The judging will take place during the course of Saturday morning by the Mayor of Skegness and the Jolly Fisherman.

Due to conditions imposed by our insurers, a copy of your public liability insurance must accompany your application form and payment.

This year we have been offered a pay in advance CAR PARK ticket of £5 for the weekend, which is a big saving!

To apply for this you have to send a cheque or postal order to ELDC, and mention you have booked a stall at the Christmas market to:
